Liberation Family Services, otherwise known as L.F.S. currently provides transitional and rapid-rehousing assistance single adult males. We currently have a focus on serving veterans and our primary goal is permanent housing and self-sufficiency. There is capacity for up to 38 individuals in the program, and there are plans to return to full capacity.
"Our transitional housing program provides homeless veterans an opportunity to receive the services and support they need to rebuild their lives."
We desire to help the individual who is motivated but lacks opportunity. In most cases, an individual just needs a place to sleep, eat and feel safe while improving their situation. LFS is here to provide that boost and connect them with the necessary tools and resources to get them back on the right track towards self-sufficiency.
In the last year, of those residents engaged in the program for six months or longer: 83% moved to permanent housing; 93% were gainfully employed and 97% were drug and alcohol free at the time of their exit. While at the shelter, residents must remain drug and alcohol free, attend support group meetings such as AA and NA if applicable, find and retain employment, attend workshops on life skills and continue to increase their vocational and educational skills.
